A couple of years ago, on a whim, I took a job as a Designated Driver on Finger Lakes wine tours. I discovered I like it. And I’m good at it. As a respected (retired) area chef, I found my clients truly appreciated my knowledge of Finger Lakes wine and beer trails. So I decided to start Finger Lakes Designated Drivers LLC My Mom was a chef. I started washing dishes for her when I was 12 years old. That was 58 years ago. From a career that spans a lifetime, from Belhurst Castle on Seneca Lake, Thendara on Canandaigua Lake, Wild Duck on Cayuga Lake, Camp Cory on Keuka Lake, Skaneateles Country Club on Skaneateles Lake, to Ventosa Vineyards on Seneca Lake, I have gained a wealth of knowledge of Finger Lakes Wineries, Cideries, Distilleries, and Breweries. - Chef Ernesto
